My couch and loveseat arms are too small for a slip cover... how to fix that?

I had bought a slip cover before and covered my couch and loveseat but they didn't fit at all! I hadn't realized that you had to have a certain arm size for it to fit the way it does in the picture. What can I do?

You can easily build-up, or pad, the arms to fit your slipcovers.

Get a sheet of 1" foam from a local fabric/craft store, a box of upholstery pins (corkscrew) or T-pins and a bag of polyestor batting.

Cut the foam large enough to wrap the arms and drape down the inside of the arm long enough to be held in place by the seat cushion.

Using the upholstery or T-pins, secure the foam to the arm in a couple of places.

Then wrap the foam with the polyester batting (for a smooth feel under the slipcover) and tack the batting to the foam in a couple of places.

Now the arms should "fill out" the slipcover.

Hope this helps,
