Daycare Curriculum

Go From Stay-At-Home Mom to Home Daycare Owner
Are you a stay-at-home mother that needs to find a way to start earning some income with out giving up your time at home? Well start and running your own home daycare business may be right for you. Starting your own home daycare business is not as hard as you think. There a re a few thing that your will need to check and provide prior to opening your doors. But chances you already have the necessities because you are taking care of your little ones already.
The first thing that I would suggest is checking with your states family and daycare licensing center. Many states allow you to watch a certain number of children without a license, but you may want to check on the requirements to make sure. If you do go the licensing route, you will be able to charge more per child and may be able to watch more children. And that means more income.
The second thing that you should address is to size up your competition. Call a few daycare centers and find out what they are charging. Also find out if they offer any type of curriculum for their children. Parents will turn over more money if you have a planed schedule that includes curriculum. Getting this information will help you set up competitive pricing.
The third thing that you will want to do is set up a back up daycare provider. Other home daycare provider should always have a back up provider for emergencies. They always happen and having a plan in place will help you make your customers happy. I would suggest 2 back up providers. You simply need to contact other home daycare providers in your neighborhood and work out a back up plan for those days that you will not be able to watch you client’s children. It will make your clients lives.
Follow these simple steps and you will have your in home daycare running in no time.
